David Satchell - Committee Member

David is a Partner at Amicus Solicitors and Advocates based at Sedgemoor Auction Centre (a success story in itself) in North Petherton and heads the Private Client Department, helping clients of all ages plan their personal affairs including wills, estate planning and administration, powers of attorney tax mitigation and the set up and use of trusts.

He has a particular interest in elderly client issues, particularly lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection applications and care fees issues and advises nursing homes how to best help their clients. He also advises on estate disputes and has been instrumental in the expansion of Amicus into Sedgemoor at a time when many law firms have been closing offices and shedding staff.

David brings a wealth of business experience to the committee and is keen to ensure that the Chamber represents the interests of members in North Petherton and other villages surrounding Bridgwater and who form a key part of the local economy.
