Ray Symons - Treasurer

Ray, a Partner at Butterworth Jones Chartered Accountants was one of the founding members of the Bridgwater Chamber. In his role at Butterworth Jones he deals with a range of tax and accountancy issues and has many corporate clients. He also has a special interest in agriculture and has written a book entitled   “Accounting for Farms”, which was published in November 2005.

He deals with accountancy and tax matters for firms of varying sizes and he understands his client’s unique requirements.

“I get a kick out of helping clients resolve particularly difficult problems, ensuring that they are claiming correctly and saving on their tax bills.”
Ray has a passion for helping local businesses, he is also currently the Vice Chairman of the Taunton and District branch of the Federation of Small Businesses, having stepped down in November 2010, and is also a governor at a local school in Bridgwater.
